Medical Monitor
Welcome to Medical Monitor. This Medical Monitor website provides the latest information in medical monitoring with videos, articles, and conversations about medical grade monitors and medical monitoring systems.
In the past, medical monitors tended to be highly specialized. One monitor would track a patient’s blood pressure, while another would measure pulse oximetry and another would measure heart rate.

Today the trend is toward multi-parameter monitors that can track many different vital signs at once. Measuring vital health signs is a good way to keep track of how the body is doing in times of stress or illness. A heart rate monitor measures heart beats per minute in real time. A blood pressure monitor (called a sphygmomanometer) measures the pressure exerted by circulating blood on the walls of blood vessels, and is one of the primary vital signs.
One thing you can be sure of… individual medical monitoring will become much more common as we enter the 2nd decade of the 21st century, and this vital information will be made available in a networked connection to a healthcare facility, so that experienced medical personnel can evaluate physical conditions in real time and prescribe medical treatments as required by the readings.
